If you thought that the latest graphics were already consuming too much, get ready because we show the madness of price and consumption for the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin.
This latest generation of graphics cards apart from its scarcity and over prices, some models have a truly high consumption, and many users have had to buy a new source to be able to cope with said consumption.
Well, just one day before the start of CES 2022 and brands announce their new products, we see the price and consumer craze leaked for the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin.
As we can see in a QuasarZone forum post, a user has posted that currently development of the EVGA RTX 3090 Ti graphics card is in the final stage of development and that it would require two 12-pin power connectors.
Specifically, these are the new next-generation PCIe Gen 5.0 power connectors that have been talked about so much and we publish about it.
It has 12 standard pins and 4 data paths that are optional. At the moment it is not clear what the manufacturers will call this connector, but it seems to be fully compatible with the NVIDIA 12-pin connector.
Regarding consumption we have to wait until the card could theoretically consume up to 1275 W of power, which is an increase of almost 750 W more than a potential configuration of 3 x 8 pins (maximum 525 W).
Regarding the price, it must be remembered that the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Kingpin model came out at a price of 2000 euros, and the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin, having the new connector, new PCB and new faster memory modules, is expected to arrive at € 2,500 minimum.
