Intel Arc video cards, four or five models on the way? And when?

In the last hours the indiscretions on the plans of Intel for the market of schede video desktop they are becoming more confused and, in a sense, even less reassuring. Yesterday we saw the interlocutory result of an Arc A770 solution appeared in Geekbench, while today from China (via Videocardz) rumors arrive on a possible slight delay of the debut. It is good to remember that so far Intel has always spoken generically of Q2 2022 for the release of Arc video cards, anticipating the arrival of a Limited Edition at the beginning of the summer.

According to the Chinese leaker, Arc solutions could arrive at the end of Q2, which would be in line with Intel’s plans, but there is also the option of a slip at the start of Q3. The possibility of the slight delay is to be taken into consideration after the launch of the first mobile solutions limited – as we have explained – for now to South Korea only. A good way to “save face”, but certainly not reassuring as regards the volume production (Intel generically spoke of 4 million GPUs).

There would be coming four video cards, with a possible fifth model coming up later. Intel would have the solutions in the pipeline Arc A770, A750, A580 e A380, with the former leading the pack with similar performance as the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. There are also rumors of a quantity of memory less than 16 GB, which would be reserved for the Limited Edition.

The latter would be the potential fifth model in the series. It could be called the A780, as indicated by previous leaks in the past, and it could take the performance a step above that of the GeForce RTX 3070/3070 Ti models. At the moment, however, we are more hypotheses than confirmations.

As for the model Arc A750the leaker reports that he should have 448 EU (against 512 of A770) e 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. The same VRAM would also be on board the A580. Finally, the slower model A380 it should be positioned on a similar level to AMD’s Radeon RX 6400. In short, the rumors about Intel video cards are still very “nebulous” and currently we can not define a clear picture: continue to follow us for any updates.
