During the Investor Meeting 2022, Intel officially unveiled when Intel Arc GPUs arrive first generation, codenamed Alchemist. The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG) division that oversees its development stated that GPUs will cover “three segments” and by 2022 the business as a whole will generate more than $ 1 billion in revenues for Intel, and then accelerate to $ 10 billion by 2026. The company has partnered with more than 100 software and game developers, as well as more than 50 agreements with OEMs and video card manufacturers.

The US company also announces that it has started development work on the architecture of Celestialthe third generation of the Xe HPG architecture (Xe3 HPG2024+), with which we aim for the first time to meet the needs of the segmento “ultra-enthusiast”, which today we could identify in the RTX 3090 / RX 6900 XT. With Xe2 HPG, Battlemage, Intel will therefore come to cover the “enthusiast” range.

Finally, Intel talked about Project Endgame. The company hasn’t gone into what exactly it is, but says it will “allow users to access the Intel Arc GPUs through a service for a computing experience a low latency and always accessible. Project Endgame will be available later this year. “Some speculate whether this is a Stadia or GeForce NOW style service.

Recall that Intel recently anticipated the arrival of software that will help low-power devices, such as notebooks, take advantage of the unused computing power of other devices, including that offered by rival company chips on the same network. The description does not seem to fit with that of Project Endgame, but we just have to wait for more details to find out more.
