Intel is preparing a Core i9-12900KS with 5.2GHz boost in its 8 high-performance cores

According to new information revealed by Videocardz, Intel delivered to motherboard manufacturers a new CPU called the Core i9-12900KS, which is basically an i9-12900K preselected by Intel itself capable of reaching higher frequencies than a conventional i9-12900K. As indicated, this CPU achieves a 5.2GHz boost in its 8 high-performance cores, raising the frequency 200MHz compared to the conventional model.

Unfortunately Videocardz does not provide more details on whether we will also see an increase in the frequency of its high-efficiency cores, or when this CPU will be announced, although they believe that it could be announced during CES 2022 to try to overshadow the launch of the new Ryzen with 3D V -Cache that AMD will announce during the event.

Considering that the i9-12900K already has an incredibly high consumption, we do not want to think about how much this Core i9-12900KS will consume, although these types of pre-selected processors are for the most enthusiastic users who are looking for the best of the best no matter how much. it consumes or how much heat it generates while offering the performance they seek. It will be interesting to see how much they consume once they are announced and are in the hands of consumers, although surely it is not a small number at all.

Speaking of models for mortals, Intel will announce its Alder Lake “No-K” as the i3-12100 and i5-12400 alongside the H610, B660 and H670 motherboards this January 4 at CES 2022, making it easy to upgrade to this new generation of processors that came to put limits to AMD after a few years of the reds dominating. We will keep you posted on all the announcements, so stay tuned for HD Tecnología.

What do you think about this new Core i9-12900KS that Intel prepares? Do you think such a model is worth launching?
