High-end Intel Arc Alchemist Video Cards will be released in May/June

Officially, Intel has only confirmed that Arc graphics cards for desktop PCs would arrive in the second quarter, but they did not provide a specific date for now.

The reason for the delay is not stated, but it is believed that Intel is still fine-tuning its drivers. The company certainly doesn’t want to tarnish its entry into the desktop GPU market with drivers that aren’t optimized. They are also working on their super resolution XeSS technology that will be used by Arc GPUs.Although, no updates were given, except that they were working on some games, since Intel first confirmed that it was working on this technology.

Various sources spoke of the delay in the release of Intel’s graphics cards, at least as regards models 1 to 3, the three high-performance models.

Igor de Igor’sLAB say what models 1 to 3 were delayed until week 18 and week 22 of this year. Those model names refer to the high-end models based on the DG2-512 GPU, also known as SOC1. At this time it is not clear how many SKUs will be released, but we expect at least two models, the A780 and A580, these names have not been confirmed by Intel yet.
