MOSCOW, 20 Sep — PRIME. Iran, within the framework of the agreement between Gazprom and the Iranian National Oil Company, will soon begin to purchase 9 million cubic meters of gas from Russia daily, as well as to receive daily 6 million cubic meters of Russian gas for swap supplies to other countries, Fars news agency reported, citing a report from the Iranian oil ministry. .
Gazprom and the Iranian National Oil Company in July signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation worth $40 billion. It was reported that the companies will explore the possibility of cooperation in the development of Iranian fields, the implementation of LNG projects and the construction of gas pipelines.
According to the agency, Iran, within the framework of this agreement, plans to soon buy 9 million cubic meters of gas from Russia, which will be delivered through the territory of Azerbaijan.
