Laptop RTX 3080 Ti leaks with 7424 Cuda Cores and 16GB of VRAM

Intel and Nvidia will announce their new notebook hardware lines during CES 2022, and the first notebooks equipped with Alder Lake-P and RTX 30 Ti Mobile processors are already beginning to appear, revealing what to expect from these products. In this case, two validations on Geekbench show us an HP laptop equipped with a Core i7-12700H and an RTX 3080 Ti Mobile, confirming their specifications.

The first of these validations shows us the specifications of the Core i7-12700H processor, and the name of the GPU, confirming that it will be called GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and not RTX 3080 Super as indicated by some rumors. As we can see, the i7-12700H will feature 14 cores and 20 threads, indicating that it will have 6 high-performance cores plus 8 high-efficiency cores, having fewer high-performance cores but more high-efficiency than desktop variants, something that will help improve your energy consumption.

The second validation provides us with information about the GPU, confirming that it will have 58 Compute Units, that is, 7424 Cuda Cores, along with 16GB of VRAM, which are possibly GDDR6 due to the consumption and heat generated from the GDDR6X memories. We can see that it will have a maximum frequency of 1395MHz, working at a much lower frequency than a desktop GPU to maintain a relatively low power limit, something elementary in laptops if we do not want the battery to run out after half an hour of use.

As we mentioned previously, the Alder Lake-P processors and RTX 30 Ti for laptops are expected to be announced during CES 2022, which will take place from January 5 to 8, so there are still almost two months to know them officially. Still, there are bound to be a lot of leaks in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to HD Tech if you’re interested in this new hardware.
