Lenovo showed new ThinkPads with AMD hardware. Destiny? First of all, work

Lenovo has partnered with AMD to develop its next-generation ThinkPads. Of course, the AMD company primarily delivered its processors, leaving Lenovo full scope for function and form, and this resulted in… that’s it. What? The new ThinkPads respond to this, but will not be released until May, priced between $ 1,549 and $ 2099.

What the new ThinkPads offer with AMD hardware

Lenovo begins its story about the ThinkPads for 2022, which will include the ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 models, with an argument about the ecological taste of the product. It boasts of using recycled aluminum, vegan leather or equally “green” packaging. It’s nice, because of course you have to take care of nature. We can also enjoy staying with the characteristic insert just above the screen, which has a high-quality Full HD camera and two microphones.

Going into details, both laptops have pre-installed Windows 11, the Microsoft Pluto system, or Ryzen Pro series processors with the option to use the Ryzen PRO 6860Z processor in the Z13 model. The more expensive variant reaches for the Ryzeny Pro from the H series, while the cheaper one for the U series, which is less efficient, but at the same time more energy-saving. The Z16 can pair the processor with the Radeon RX 6500M graphics card to improve the iGPU performance of Ryzen.

You can also count on a fingerprint reader, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 memory, up to 1 or 2 TB NVMe SSD disk on PCIe 4.0, fast battery charging, dTMP 2.0, backlit keyboard, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, as well as high quality screens. That’s right – screens. One is in place of the fingerprint reader (IPS) and the other where it should be, and it’s a 13.3 or 16-inch OLED touchscreen with 400 nits brightness.
