Media: British billionaire wants to save electricity “to spite Putin”
MOSCOW, 9 Oct — PRIME. British billionaire John Codwell decided to save energy so that Russian President Vladimir Putin would get “less dollars”, reports the Mirror newspaper.
Peskov predicted the future of Europe in the light of problems with energy resources
Caudwell said he would only heat one room in his mansion, leaving 98% of the house unheated. In his opinion, the fuel industry finances Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
“I will do my best to make him (Putin) get a few dollars less,” the billionaire added.
In February, Codewell sheltered a Ukrainian refugee with a child, the publication also reports.
It is noted that the billionaire is criticized for helping Ukrainians at a time when British families are experiencing problems due to rising prices.
