Media: in Russia iPhone fell sharply

In particular, the iPhone 13 Pro Max smartphone with 128 GB memory has become cheaper by almost 20 thousand rubles since the beginning of August; in the maximum configuration with a memory of 1 TB, the smartphone began to cost 179,990 thousand rubles against 245,990 thousand rubles in July.

As market experts commented to the publication, such a price reduction is explained by the strengthening of the Russian ruble, the expectation that a new generation of smartphones will enter the market in the fall, as well as a decrease in Russian interest in Apple products against the backdrop of anti-Russian sanctions.

“In addition, the construction of new supply chains has contributed to lower prices,” Darya Kolesnikova, press secretary of Tele2, quoted the publication as saying.

Last week, Bloomberg reported that the presentation of the new iPhone 14 line is scheduled for September 7 this year, and the phones will hit the shelves on September 16. The new gadget will be produced in India.
