Micree Zhan, co-founder of mining giant Bitmain, said he would take legal action to ensure his return to the firm. He was unexpectedly kicked out by Jihan Wu, in what Zhan calls a “coup.”
Last week, Jihan Wu sent an email to the entire Bitmain staff stating that Zhan was fired from all roles and banned employees from interacting with him.
In a letter published On Wednesday on WeChat, Zhan explained his position in this scandal.
“It was embarrassing that, as Bitmain co-founder, the largest shareholder and registered legal representative, I was dismissed without any prior warning in this coup, while I was on a business trip. Until then, I didn’t realize that those scenes from the TV shows, where you are stabbed in the back by those partners you trust and the “brothers” you fought with, can really take place in real life. “
Bitmain drama continues
Wu further revealed an ugly power struggle between him and Micree Zhan, which reached the peak of tension at the last general meeting of Bitmain. He contended that he had filed an action in court to resume his position in the company.
“Bitmain is our child. I will fight for the company to the end with legal weapons. I will not allow those who want to plot against Bitmain to be successful. If anyone wants a war, we will give him one ”,
Wu said.
He added that he intends for Bitmain to achieve the goal of dominating 90% of the bitcoin mining equipment market. During this time it expands its activity of developing artificial intelligence projects.
