Micron says that LPDDR5X will be much faster than LPDDR5 –

Portable devices will sooner rather than later make a big leap in speed, as Micron ensures that LPDDR5X will be much faster than LPDDR5.

According to the manufacturer, the new memories LPDDR5X thanks to the 14 nm construction process, they will be able to offer us a total bandwidth of up to 33% more than current memories LPDDR5.

Micron says that advanced chipsets, such as MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 5G, require the high data rates provided by LPDDR5X to produce seamless multitasking and for AI, augmented and virtual reality, and immersive graphics.

Micron has been releasing a number of components in the industry, including LPDDR5, 1α-based LPDDR4X, 176-layer NAND-based UFS 3.1, and uMCP5 solutions.
