Fresh out of the oven, today we get the new drivers AMD Radeon Adrenalin 2020 21.9.2. These new drivers have few changes compared to previous versions, but they offer us support for the new games Diablo 2: Resurrected, World War Z: Aftermath y New World

This new update of drivers AMD not only do they bring support for these games, because if we look at the list of changes and improvements we see that it also corrects a series of problems that were left hanging in the previous update. Especially the problem that many users had with the automatic overclock if they had a Ryzen 5000 series and a 6000 series graphic. Fixed issues

  • In Radeon ™ Software, the Additional CPU Metrics section within the Performance tab may be missing for some users.
  • Some users may receive a compatibility error message when they try to load a previously saved tuning profile.
  • While playing Hitman ™ 3 on some AMD graphics products such as Radeon ™ RX 6800 XT, users may experience a water shortage problem along the shores.
  • The automatic CPU overclock feature in Radeon ™ Software may be missing for some users with an AMD Ryzen ™ 5000 series processor and an AMD Radeon ™ 6000 series graphics card.

Known issues

  • Open Broadcaster Software ™ can continue to run in the background after a user ends a recording session and closes the application.
  • Driver timeouts can be experienced while playing a game and streaming video simultaneously on some AMD graphics products, such as Radeon ™ RX 500 Series Graphics.
  • AMD Radeon ™ Software may hang or stop responding while playing some DirectX® 11 games such as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ™ with multiple displays connected in extended mode.
  • Playing Horizon Zero Dawn ™ for an extended period may cause a controller timeout or game crash on some AMD graphics products such as the Radeon ™ RX 6700 XT.
  • Enhanced sync may cause black screen when enabled in some games and system settings. Any user who may be experiencing problems with Enhanced Synchronization enabled should disable it as a workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging functions may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

Known issues for AMD Link for Windows

  • Intermittent gray raster corruption can be observed when streaming with HEVC in certain settings over an internet connection. An alternative solution is to use the AVC encoding settings instead.

  • RS-403 – Testing conducted by AMD as of September 17, 2021, on a test system comprised of a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, 16GB DDR4, Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU, and Windows Pro, using Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.9.2 and 21.9.1 in Diablo II: Resurrected. Game tested with very high preset in 4K. Performance may vary.
