Nintendo Switch, a patent for a touch pen to be connected to Joy-Con

Nintendo would be thinking of a touch nib to connect to Switch’s Joy-Con. The idea was patented by the USPTO last week.

From what can be deduced from the documentation published by the United States office (link in SOURCE), it would be a sort of “strap” for Joy-Con gifted – in the upper end – of a touch pen to be used for writing and / or drawing on the console screen when the console is in portable or handheld mode.

In addition to the possibility of changing the thickness of the lines drawn using the Joy-Con buttons in real time, the accessory should also take advantage of the HD Rumble functionality based on the actions performed in-game. The touch pen for Nintendo Switch could therefore be used together with Joy Con.

We specify that, as often happens, many of the patents filed by companies are not always effectively translated into commercial products.
