Nvidia Geforce GTX 950 in specifications – GTX 750 Ti price reduced

Although the Radeon 300 series consists of renamed graphics processors, they come with new prices, which has been enough to make the competitor Nvidia react. To meet the resistance, the graphics giant is working on a new model, which apparently builds around a stripped-down variant of the Geforce GTX 960 circuit GM206.

Korean Hardware Battle is now publishing what are said to be the specifications for the upcoming graphics card, which apparently goes by the name GTX 950 and not GTX 950 Ti. First of all, it appears that the graphics circuit has two SMM clusters disabled, which corresponds to 256 CUDA cores less than GTX 960 or 128 more than GTX 750 Ti.

Regarding clock frequencies, range is given instead of some concrete information. This may mean that Nvidia either did not nail down the final specifications or that it is a frequency range from different partner manufacturers’ cards. Another detail that stands out is that the card, despite a TDP value of 90 W, has an 8-pin connector, but this could also be a feature from a partner’s circuit board design.

According to the same information, the launch will take place on August 17, information that is strengthened by Hardware.fr, which reports that Nvidia is lowering the price of the Geforce GTX 750 Ti by 15–20 euros or around 150–200 kronor. This causes the card to go up against the Radeon R7 360, which probably means that the GTX 950 will take up the fight against the R7 370.
