Nvidia Geforce GTX with dual graphics circuits GM200 on input

When AMD announced a brand new enthusiast series of graphics cards based on the Fiji circuit, it was with no less than four models, three of which had time to be launched. Sometime during the autumn, the fourth and final with dual graphics circuits is expected to make its entrance, but now it appears Nvidia can catch up with the model before the launch.

Selected media on the other side of the Atlantic have during the past week been invited to a “secret” preview of a new Geforce GTX graphics card. According to Wccftech, this will be a model with no less than dual graphics circuits GM200, ie the same as used in the top models Geforce GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X.

Further details about the graphics card itself are not clear, but with the graphics circuit in mind, it can be as much as 6,144 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR5 memory (12 GB per graphics circuit). It is also reasonable to assume a higher TDP value of about 400 W or higher. By comparison, its predecessor GTX Titan Z is specified at 375 W – 50 percent above the GTX Titan and the current GTX Titan X.

No information about the price is available and here it depends entirely on which way Nvidia has chosen to go. With two full-scale GM200s, it could very well be a price tag of around SEK 20,000, while two scaled-down ones with less GDDR5 memory could bring the graphics card closer to SEK 10,000.
