Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 is seen in the performance test for Final Fantasy XV

When Nvidia launched the Turing architecture earlier this year, it was only in the performance class with the Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. Shortly afterwards, the product family was expanded with the Geforce RTX 2070, but a mid-range model still shines with its absence.

Now such a graphics card is glimpsed in Final Fantasy XV’s performance test, in the form of Geforce RTX 2060. The graphics card is placed between Geforce GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 and thus also a bit below AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 56. However, it is possible that it is about a mobile circuit, but this is not specified in the results.

In connection with Nvidia presenting its quarterly report, it emerged that models under Geforce RTX 2070 are likely to be delayed, probably until sometime in 2019. This is because the company now sees an end to the overlay of Pascal-based circuits they have had for a long time.

At the same time, Nvidia also confirmed that a Turing-based mid-range model will be released, and it will probably be the Geforce RTX 2060. When the launch is likely to take place is not yet known.
