Nvidia Geforce RTX can be pre-ordered – launch on September 20

After a long wait, it was recently time for the official unveiling of the Geforce RTX, Nvidia’s latest graphics card that follows the current Geforce GTX 1000 series. The new models will be part of a completely new series called Geforce RTX 2000, where the letters “RTX” refer to Nvidia’s ray tracing technology.

During the conference, the details of the models were confirmed and in accordance with what SweClockers previously reported, Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang announced that the new models can be pre – ordered immediately after the end of the live broadcast. The date for launch is September 20 and there are many indications that this applies to the company’s Founder’s Edition as well as cards from partner manufacturers.

It is initially about three models – Geforce RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti, and the latter will be the new top model for the series. In terms of specifications, these are 4,352 CUDA cores and a clock frequency of 1,350 MHz and 11 GB of GDDR6 memory for the Geforce RTX 2080 Ti.

Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 are now available for pre-booking via Nvidia’s website and Swedish resellers, and the first two will be launched sharply on 20 September. For Geforce RTX 2070, the launch will take place later in October.

The prices for the graphics cards in the reference version amount to SEK 13,999 for RTX 2080 Ti, while RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 end up at SEK 9,199 and SEK 6,899, respectively.
