Nvidia launches Geforce GTX 1650 with a target price of SEK 1,749

After weeks of reported specifications, Nvidia is now finally officially launching the Geforce GTX 1650. The mid-range graphics cards support the new features of the Turing architecture, and like other GTX 1600 family members, they lack the RTX and Tensor cores with which the RTX series graphics cards are equipped.

The specifications for the card follow what the reports stated before the launch. The Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 is based on the TU117 circuit and is equipped with 896 CUDA cores. The base frequency of the graphics processor is 1,485 MHz and the boost frequency is 1,665 MHz.

The circuit is equipped with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory that works over a 128-bit memory bus, which provides a memory bandwidth of 128 GB / s. The TDP value of the graphics card is specified at 75 W, which means that the card stays within the range of what the PCI Express 3.0 slot on the motherboard can feed. The graphics card therefore requires no extra power connector.

In Nvidia’s press material for the Geforce GTX 1650, the cards are highlighted for gaming performance in the middle class, where performance is stated to be twice as fast as a Geforce GTX 950 and 70 percent faster than a GTX 1050 at 1080p resolution. They are also stated to be an affordable option for synchronized image updating with G-Sync-equipped screens.

Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 is launched today and will be available in the form of graphics cards from partner manufacturers. The recommended price tag for these is SEK 1,749, but the price and configuration will differ between different partner manufacturers. Several partner manufacturers, for example, offer overclocked models that draw more than 75 W and are equipped with extra power connectors.
