NVIDIA LHR version 3 anti-crypto algorithm for RTX 3050/3080 12GB has been 90% unlocked

Earlier this month, we told you that the developers of NiceHash had fully unlocked the LHR (Lite Hash Rate) algorithm implemented by NVIDIA for its GeForce RTX 30 graphics cards to limit cryptocurrency mining potential. The LHRv1 and LHRv2 models are already fully unlocked, without the need for any special hardware.

What remained without unlocking were two GeForce: RTX 3050 8GB and RTX 3080 12GB. Those models had a new version of the algorithm. It seems that unlocking the performance on these cards was not a big deal, as the algorithm has only just been 90% cracked.

NiceHash QuickMiner v0.5.4.2 RC requires NVIDIA driver 512.15 or newer to work.

Nvidia GeForce ModelHsash rate unlocked at *90%
RTX 3050 LHRv3~ *41MH/s
RTX 3060 LHR or LHRv2~50MH/s
RTX 3060 Ti LHRv2~60MH/s
RTX 3070 LHRv2~60MH/s
RTX 3070 Ti LHRv2~ 81MH/s
RTX 3080 10GB LHRv2~98MH/s
RTX 3080 12GB LHRv3~ *90MH/s

This LHRv3 unlock is probably too late. Most of the cryptocurrencies related to GPU mining have lost a significant part of their value, to the point where it is simply not profitable to mine them or the return on investment will take much longer.

Hopefully with what I just said no one will buy the RTX 3050 cards just for the LHRv3 unlock.
