While Nvidia is busy taking to Twitter to look back on its 21 years of Geforce graphics and count down to a launch event on September 1, the rumor mill about the upcoming “Ampere” and RTX 3000 family is gaining momentum. This time it is about the configurations of the cards that are believed to be available at launch, where it has already become probable that a schedule like RTX 2000 and “Turing” is to be expected.
According to Videocardz, the three top models in the “Ampere” series will be ready in September, namely a new Titan card and RTX 3080 Ti and a 3080 derivative of the same, without the Ti extension. Contrary to what is said to apply to AMD and the “Big Navi” camp, partner cards are also said to have been prepared, ready to be released on the big day.

Preliminary and speculative data
Another big news is the segmentation at the top, where the top card Titan has previously been rumored to get 24 GB of graphics memory of the not yet launched memory type GDDR6X. New leaks claim that the RTX 3080 Ti also gets colossal amounts of memory, more specifically 20 GB, while the RTX 3080 without the Ti suffix seems to be content with a more humane 10 GB. Both RTX 3080 cards are also expected to be equipped with GDDR6X memory.
The launch date of the new Geforce RTX 3000 series is still unknown, but expect details from Nvidia during its September 1 event.
