NVIDIA RTX A2000 is the new entry level card for graphics workstations

There is a new video card NVIDIA dedicated to the graphic workstations that the American company has made available on the market these days: let’s talk about the model RTX A2000, which completes the range of proposals based on Ampere GPUs.

Specifically we find GPU GA106 in this new board, equipped with 3,328 CUDA cores inside with 104 Tensor Cores. The GPU is paired with 6 Gbytes of GDDR6 video memory, with 192bit bus width and 12Gbps clock frequency.

The peculiarity of RTX 2000A is to be the first NVIDIA video card designed for professional workstations to be positioned in the entry segment of the market and at the same time implement hardware Ray Tracing support. Not only that: it is also the first video card of the RTX family to be available in a design low profile, thanks also to TDP contained in only 70 Watts: the overall dimensions in width, however, always remain 2 slots.

NVIDIA has intervened on the clock frequency of the GPU to obtain such a low consumption: the overall performance is affected, with a value of 8 TFLOPS in single precision which is less than half of the 19.2 TFLOPs of the GA104 GPU-based RTX A4000 card.

The price of this card it should be about $ 450 excluded taxes; will be proposed in workstaton of ASUS, BOXX Technologies, Dell, HP e Lenovo as well as sold directly by NVIDIA partners starting in October.
