Nvidia is in the middle of its event where they are expected to unveil the next generation Geforce graphics card. As expected, a lot of focus is placed on Nvidia’s technology RTX and how this can be used to enable better graphics in games in the future.
The new models have not yet been unveiled, but Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang suggests during the press conference about the price for these. After showing the Star Wars demo that was also shown during the GDC earlier this year, Huang says it is powered by a computer system with four Tesla V100s and shows the audience a phone number they can call to order this.
The telephone number shown in the picture reads “1-889-789-2080” and this is believed to be a strong indication of the price tag for the new cards. If this is true, it would mean that the top model Geforce RTX 2080 Ti ends up at 889 USD, while the smaller sibling ends up at 789 USD, corresponding to 10,200 and 9,100 kronor including VAT.
