Official AMD Noise Suppression: How It Works and What It Is

After the involuntary leak of news of the past few days, AMD has made it available technology AMD Noise Suppression in the AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 drivers that you can download from its website or from this page on Hardware Upgrade.

Compatible only with Ryzen 5000 and later CPUs and Radeon RX 6000 and newer GPUsAMD Noise Suppression is a technology that aims at reduce, if not cancel, the ambient background noise that can ruin your web voice communications, whether it’s a business video call on Google Meet or voice chat from a competitive game.

AMD Noise Suppression uses a real-time deep learning algorithm to reduce ambient noise by preventing it from entering your communications. The new functionality it works for both input and output devices on any system with the aforementioned AMD components.

After downloading and installing the latest driver, go to the control panel and click on the icon Settings and, immediately after, in the card Audio e video. Under Audio Settings you will see, provided you have a compatible system, AMD Noise Suppression; all you have to do is enable voice and choose input / output device or both depending on the device.

Once done, go to games or apps like Microsoft Teams, Discord or Slack and select “Dispositivo audio streaming AMD“for input / output in order to take advantage of AMD’s noise suppression technology.
