MediaTek updates its portfolio of SoCs dedicated to gaming with Helio G80, a proposal that goes alongside the G70 model presented in January and the high-performance G90 and G90T dating back to last summer. Also in this case, the reference range is the medium (and medium-low) range, with the intent by the Taiwanese company to make available to smartphone manufacturers a product capable of offering excellent gaming performance.
Helio G80 is made up of a Octa-core CPU (2x Cortex-A75 + 6x Cortex-A55) and an ARM Mali-G52 GPU, and was created by TSMC through the FinFET production process in 12nm. The first smartphone based on this solution will be Realme C3, whose debut is expected for February 6.
