Pop-up date issue not working on Windows 11/10

When you mouse over the date and time at the far right of the taskbar, a pop-up window is displayed with the current date and day of the week. Many users have run into the problem that they cannot see this popup when they hover over the time and date. Basically this problem has to be reset and restore some settings on your PC. If you are also facing this problem then read this post to find some solutions that will help you.

Solution 1 – Force restart Windows Explorer

1. Press Ctrl + Mayús + Esc to open the Task Manager.

2. Go to Details tab.

3. Find explorer.exe on the to-do list.

4. The right button of the mouse about explorer.exe and select Final task.

5. Click Ended process in the confirmation window.

6. Go to Proceedings menu and choose Run a new task.

7. In the To create a new task window type explorer.exe in the text box and press Get into.

8. After Windows Explorer restarts, check if the problem is fixed.

Solution 2: reset date settings to defaults

1 – Press Tecla de Windows + R to open TO RUN.

2 – Type INTL.CPL on it and click OK.

3 -In the Region window, click the Additional settings button on the Formats tab.

4 – Go to Date tab and click the Restart button at the bottom of the Customize format window that appears.

5 – Click Yes in the windows asking to remove all customizations for the current format.

6 – Click it’s fine. Then save the changes by clicking Request.

7 – Check if you can see the date and day of the week in the date pop-up window.

Solution 3 – Restore registry settings

1. Download the log file to restore time zones from this TimeZoneRestore.

2. The right button of the mouse about him Postal Code file and select Remove all… to extract it.

3. Choose the location and click Extract.

4. Open the extracted folder and click the TimeZoneRestore.reg file that appears.

5. Click the To run when the security warning to open the file is displayed.

6. When requested User access control, click on And.

7. Click Yes when asked if you are sure to make registry changes using this file.

8. You will see a message that the registry changes have been made.

9. Restart your system and check if the error has been fixed.
