process1_initialization_failed startup issue on Windows 11, 10

Since you don’t have direct access to Windows, you need to use Windows Recovery Mode to fix this issue.

Follow these steps to boot into the Windows Recovery Environment:

1. At first, turn off your system.

2. Once the Automatic Repair screen appears, tap on the “Advanced Options“.

3. To fix the problem, tap «Solve problems“.

4. After that, you need to tap on the “Advanced Options“.

7. Now, tap on the “Symbol of the system” to open the terminal.

8. Next, tap on your administrative account.

9. Also, touch «Continue” to finally access the terminal.

Wait a moment while the command prompt terminal appears on your screen.

10. Now, writes this command and press Get into to run the check disk operation.

chkdsk C: /r /f

Windows will scan the device in several stages for bad and free clusters, it will examine the security descriptors.

11. After that, copy take this command and press Get into.

sfc /scannow

Once the SFC scan reaches 100%, close the command prompt terminal.

Then close the command prompt.

12. Now tap “Continue”To boot normally in Windows 11.

Solution 3 – Delete Bootcat.Cache

Removing the Bootcat.cache file from the CodeIntegrity folder has resolved the issue for many users.

1. At first, force boot your system into Windows Recovery Mode.

Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt

4. Now, select your administrative account and your user account password to access the command prompt terminal.

6. Then tap on “Continue” to move to Windows 11.

Check if it solves your problem.

Solution 4 – Update the PC

If nothing has worked for you so far, try updating the system.

1. At first, boot your system into recovery mode.

2. After that, tap «Advanced Options” to access it.

3. Then tap on “Solve problems” to access it.

4. After that, click «Reset this PC” to access it.

5. Now touch “save my files” to access it.

Windows will reboot your system, keeping your files intact. Windows will reset to default settings.

You won’t see the “process1_initialization_failed” error message again.

Solution 5 – Try system restore

If upgrading your system is unsuccessful, your last resort is to perform a system restore operation.

1. At first, force boot your system in recovery mode, again.

2. Then touch the button “Advanced Options“.

3. After that, tap «solve problems” to access it.

4. Then click “Advanced Options» To open it.

5. Then touch “system restore“.

6. In the system restore window, you can touch the button “Recommended restoration:» option.

7. Otherwise, you can also choose the “Choose a different restore point» option.

8. Now, cheque the “Show more restore point” cash register.

This will display a list of additional restore points on your screen.

9. So, Select a restore point when the error was not occurring at all.

10. After that, click «next” to proceed.

11. Finally, tap on “End up” to complete the process.

Your computer will restart several times to complete the restore process.
