Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 with 6 nanometer GPU? Here are the purported specifications

Radeon RX 6500 XT e 6400, the two entry-level video cards that AMD is expected to unveil at CES 2022, are expected to be first with one GPU produced at 6 nanometers – most likely from TSMC. According to latest rumors, the Radeon RX 6500 XT will debut on January 19, while the younger sister Radeon RX 6400 Sara intended for OEMs only, ending up on board the pre-assembled systems.

The GPU on board the two new models, Navi 24, will have respectively 1024 and 768 stream processors, flanked by 16 and 12 Ray Accelerator units. Inside the GPU there will also be 16 MB of Infinity Cache, which will serve to amplify the memory bandwidth.

According to rumors, AMD will introduce the words “Memory Bandwidth with Infinity Cache” to emphasize the impact of the technology, such as to bring the bandwidth of the RX 6500 XT at 232 GB / s and that of the RX 6400 at 216 GB / s. Both solutions should have a 64-bit bus and 4 GB of GDDR6 memory, set at 16 Gbps in the case of the 6500 XT and 14 Gbps in that of the 6400.

Regarding the consumption of the cards, we speak respectively of 107W e 53W, which should dictate the use of a 6-pin power connector on the RX 6500 XT model, while the 6400 XT will be powered directly from the PCI Express slot. As for the video outputs, both cards will offer one HDMI and one DisplayPort.
