Radeon RX 6600 XT and upcoming 6600? They pop up briefly on the PowerColor website

Rumors about the arrival of video cards have been running for months Radeon RX 6600 e 6600 XT at home AMD and, perhaps, the time is ripe. In the past few hours, PowerColor has accidentally posted and removed two tab pages from its website – as can be seen below.

Of these cards we know that they are based on the Navi GPU 23, unprecedented in the world of gaming solutions but not in the sector in general: it was recently announced as a GPU on board the Radeon PRO W6600 and Radeon PRO W6600M professional models – and to be precise also as the brain of Tesla’s latest infotainment system. Navi 23 is counting on 11.06 billion transistors on 237 mm2 and integrates 32 MB of Infinty Cache.

The reference design of the RX 6600 should be the one on the top right, above the RX 6700 XT

In the case of the two professional solutions we have 28 active Compute Units for 1792 stream processors, flanked by 8 GB of GDDR6 memory at 14 Gbps on a 128-bit bus for a bandwidth of 224 GB / s. The W6600 offers power up to 10.4 TFLOPS in FP32 and up to 20.8 TFLOPs in FP16, with a TDP of 100W requiring the presence of a 6-pin PCIe connector.

These specifications could reflect, with some small differences, those of the Radeon RX 6600, for which a memory at 16 Gbps is not excluded. We do not yet know the frequencies of the GPU. The Radeon RX 6600 XT could instead differ in the greater number of Compute Units, ie 32, for a total of 2048 stream processors. In this case an 8-pin PCIe connector may be required to ensure overclocking headroom.

The reference cards of these two models should feature a single central fan and have rather small dimensions, but as always different models will arrive from the partners. It will be solutions devoted to gaming a 1080p, although a lot will depend on the game and above all on technologies such as FidelityFX Super Resolution. As for the prices there is no information yet, but going beyond the announced price lists a lot will depend on the units available.
