While the wide computer community is enthusiastically discussing the debut of Intel’s first discrete video adapter based on the Xe architecture, the head of the graphics division of the “blue team” Raja Koduri decided to please the fans of the company’s products even more. sharing the image “Monstrous” GPU with Xe-HPC architecture.
It is worth recalling that for the first time this GPU was officially announced back in 2019 – it was then that it became known that the first representative of the Xe-HPC architecture, codenamed Ponte Vecchio, was being developed in the bowels of Intel, intended to become the basis for the Aurora supercomputer, which is planned to be launched already in the current year.
In the production of high-performance GPUs, the company will use several technological processes at once (from 10-nm SuperFin for the production of base crystals and Enhanced SuperFin for the Rambo Cache memory to 7-nm for the production of computational crystals), as well as the Foveros spatial arrangement technology – in total seven advanced technology in one building, reports Raja Koduri.
Judging by the image, there are compute crystals in the center of the product, while memory chips are located on the sides. Unfortunately, Raja Koduri did not share information about the technical characteristics of the upcoming novelty, but said that the new product is already ready for work, which may be a hint of its imminent debut
