According to a clip posted by MagoCrypto redditor, the Reddit discussion forum seems to be creating a point system running on a blockchain.
A Reddit spokesman told Decrypt that it is testing a feature based on blockchain technology, but only for a single community.
According to the screenshots, the main feature is a cryptocurrency wallet in which the user can collect points. Each user will have their own blockchain address where they can see their points. These points may be passed on to other users in the form of tips and may be of value. It is not clear, however, whether they can be used outside the Reddit ecosystem.
The Reddit forum has long been a popular source of information for cryptocurrency projects. For example, r / Bitcoin has 1.4 million members and r / Cryptocurrency has 994,000. This is the first initiative to implement a blockchain-based system for Reddit.
