Republika Srpska will buy energy resources on the terms of Gazprom

MOSCOW, Sep 22 — PRIME. The Republika Srpska is ready to buy Russian gas on the terms that Gazprom will put forward, this also applies to trade in national currencies, the main thing is to maintain current prices, leader of the Bosnian Serbs Milorad Dodik said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“As for the currency, we will accept the conditions that Gazprom will announce to us. Until now, we have paid in euros or dollars, but we treat the current situation with understanding, therefore, within the framework of agreements with Gazprom, we will agree to the offer they will give us,” he said.

“It is important for us to continue this trade at the prices that were previously agreed, including gas supplies from Gazprom. It was announced that Gazprom also assumes obligations to continue this work. And all our previously agreed plans that we (continue to work) together,” Dodik said.

“Gazprom” will continue to supply gas to the Republika Srpska in the required volumes at the prices of the current contract without adjustments for market conditions, the head of the company, Alexei Miller, said earlier.

Gas company GAS-RES, owned by the government of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from June 1, extended the contract for the supply of natural gas with Gazprom. The head of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic noted that the official Banja Luka is fully satisfied with the agreements on the price of gas and the dynamics of supplies. He noted that the price is “about $290 per thousand cubic meters or slightly higher” and that it will be adjusted every quarter.

The average annual consumption of natural gas by the Republika Srpska, according to the Ministry of Energy, has been about 50 million cubic meters in recent years.
