The rumor mill is going from strength to strength, and we already have everything down to possible specs and release dates. If we talk about the former, we have leaker KopiteKimi saying that the RTX 4060 a graphics card that would be mid-range will consume a considerable amount of energybeating the current generation RTX 3070.
According to the leaker the RTX 4060 has a higher TDP than the RTX 3070. He did not mention the specific power consumption of the upcoming card, but for example RTX 3070 Founders Edition It has a TDP of 220 W, while some partner variants go as high as 250 W.
I don’t care about the real release date. I’m just curious about the performance of RTX 4060, which consumes more power than RTX 3070.

A TDP of 250W or more would be a huge jump for an xx60 series product. The previous most power consuming cards in the series were the RTX 3060 and GTX 760 (both 170W), followed by the RTX 2060 (160W), then the GTX 1060 and GTX 960 (both 120W). That’s not counting the RTX 3060 Ti, which consumes 200W.
We have heard many rumors that the RTX 4090 will have a TBP (Total Board Power) of 600W, while the RTX 4090 Ti could go as high as 800W. Assuming that’s true, and it’s certainly starting to look like this, an RTX 4060 card could consume 350W, it’s not crazy at all from what we’re seeing.
Remember, this is all just rumors and speculation to be taken for what it is…
