Currently the i7-7700K is still one of the best gaming processors even being from the 7th. Generation of Intel, and it seems that soon AMD will have a very cheap alternative to match it. According to a leaked Cinebench R15 test, in the single-core test the Ryzen 3 3300X obtained 199 points, compared to 200 for the i7-7700K having practically the same performance. Also, by having the same four cores and eight threads, we can expect very similar multi-core performance if they have the same single-core performance.
Thus, An equivalent of the i7-7700K will hit the market for only US $ 120, allowing gamers on a budget to access a powerful gaming solution that also has good multi-core performance and support for PCI-E 4.0. We will have to wait a little longer to see more tests of the Ryzen 3 3300X, although the first numbers are undoubtedly interesting.
