Sapphire makes it strange, the Radeon 6700 arrives (without RX) with 10 GB of memory
Sapphire ha inserted in its range of products the Radeon 6700a new gaming solution that “strikes” for several details, first and foremost the absence of the RX prefix before model numbering. The new born is a different proposal from the others, in fact it offers 2304 stream processors and 10 GB of GDDR6 memory at 16 Gbps on 160-bit bus. The Radeon RX 6700 XT has 2560 stream processors, while the 6600 XT stops at 2048, and they also boast a different amount of memory and a different bus width.
The technical specifications described are the same as in the Radeon RX 6700Mwith one important exception regarding the card’s TBP equal to 220W against the 135W of the mobile variant: the power supply is entrusted to a single 8-pin PCIe connector. Sapphire decided to introduce two models based on this project, a PULSE and an unnamed solution.

As for the operating frequencies, in both cases we are talking about 2230 and 2495 MHz for Game and Boost Clock. At the moment it is not clear the intended use of these cards, i.e. if they will reach the retail market (and if so at what price) or if they will end up in the hands of OEM manufacturers. Furthermore, it could be an initiative that is geographically limited to Asia.
However, as reported by multiple sources, the Radeon 6700 closely resembles the “BC-2235 GPRO X080”a card that the Hong Kong manufacturer has destined for the cryptocurrency mining. The hypothesis is that the deflation of the phenomenon has left Sapphire with many of these cards on the “rump”, causing it to convert them back to the gaming sector by equipping them with the necessary HDMI and DisplayPort ports.
