Soon Intel will enter the graphics card market, and will give you bodies even with drivers

While we’ve been supporting Intel since the first announcements in its quest to become the third major player in the graphics card market, it’s time to point out to the company that it needs to start building an image of honesty with consumers. Unfortunately, the last example with drivers for the Elden Ring caused that the faith in Intel in terms of drivers has slightly diminished in our country.

Intel’s mishap with the drivers for the Elden Ring game

On February 18, which is a good six days before the official premiere of the Elden Ring, Intel officially announced that it has begun to cooperate with the American branch of Bandai Namco (the publisher of the game) to provide players with updates of their graphics drivers on the day of the premiere, especially for the Elden Ring. At the time of writing this text is already 02/26, and the drivers are not there, and unfortunately, this does not reflect well on Intel … although the company can still be forgiven a lot, because it is just starting its way to the level that NVIDIA or AMD has developed on over several dozen years.

On February 25, the company announced (not alone, but after numerous publications on the web) that it failed to provide driver updates on the day of the premiere. As she herself says: “We are sorry for the delay in providing this driver update for Elden Ring. We found a late inconsistency in the game and we are working with the developer to resolve it. “

What is this incompatibility? We don’t know. It is certain, however, that such mishaps undermine the company’s position when only weeks separate us from the premiere of Intel Arc cards, and as we well know, the sphere of software and optimization is as important as the sphere of the hardware itself.
