Team Group shows off its Cardea Liquid II SSD, with an all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooling system

Team Group announced their next generation of RAM Memories and SSDs, and one of the most curious products they presented is their Cardea Liquid II SSD, which is cooled with an all-in-one liquid cooling system, better known as AIO for its acronym in English.

From what the company explained, the Cardea Liquid II has a copper liquid cooling block that rests directly on the controller and the upper chips of the SSD, and on this block is a thin and silent pump in charge of carrying the liquid towards its 120mm radiator. Being in 2021, both the liquid reservoir and the radiator fan have ARGB to synchronize their lighting with the rest of the PC.

Something striking is that the company did not give details on the performance of this SSD, as it said that it is still in development stages. This leads to think that it could be a PCI-E 5.0 SSD, which could generate much more heat due to its high speeds that will reach up to 14000MB / s and therefore it would need a cooling system of this style, although its type of connection It was not confirmed by the company yet so this is pure speculation.

Since it is in development stages, the company did not give details about its price or availability date, although it promised to give more news in the coming months, so we may see an official announcement near the end of the year or early 2022. What If we can anticipate it, it will not be a cheap SSD, so if you are interested in buying one, prepare your wallet.

What do you think about Team Group’s Cardea Liquid II SSD? Do you think it makes sense to add an AIO to an M.2 or is it just to show it off to your friends?
