The technical characteristics are very close to the old Platinum RGB on paper, with a very classic aluminum radiator 13.7 cm wide by 32.2 cm long and a standard thickness of 2.7 cm. 280 mm requires, two fans are delivered as standard, the same ML140 RGB (8 individually customizable LEDs) found on all the brand’s high-end products. These fans are equipped with a magnetic levitation bearing which has been widely proven so far, the sound level is very low at low speed and does not suffer from parasitic noise.

The star of the show is the waterblock which is covered with no less than 33 Capellix LEDs (via 21 customizable zones), these LEDs which appeared on the Dominator Platinum RGB memory kits that we tested previously. In addition to a much higher brightness than standard LEDs, the Capellix are smaller and consume less. Overall this is one of the only developments in the RGB peripheral market, fans should love the rendering! In terms of LED customization, you can therefore control no less than 37 zones, which means that you have plenty to do.

In terms of ancillary features, we note the presence of a Zero RPM mode like modern power supplies or graphics cards. Note that you have the option to turn off the fans at rest and they will only charge once they are charged. In addition, and this is a big change compared to previous AIO kits, the Elite Capellix come with a Commander Core control box, it can drive up to six fans and six RGB peripherals. You can therefore connect all the fans present in your box and control the air flow as you see fit. Of course, the RGB connectors are proprietary and it is only possible to connect Corsair peripherals to them.
