We return to Corsair today with the update of one of their last case, the SPEC 04 Tempered Glass! An entry-level box with in addition to its classic SPC04 brother a large tempered glass panel to show the world inside your configuration! Offered at a recommended price of 69.99 € we are in the lower part of the cases with a tempered glass panel, let’s see it all more closely!

Characteristics

As we can see the technical characteristics here are very classic. The case is made of steel and plastic (for the front) as well as of course the side panel in tempered glass. The SPEC 04 is rather small with 48.4 cm long, 43.3 cm high and 19.6 cm thick. However, this does not prevent being able to handle a graphics card 37 cm in length, a cooler up to 17 cm as well as a 22.5 cm power supply, it is clear that almost all the configurations market can find its place in the SPEC 04 Tempered Glass. Its weight of 5.1 kg is rather light for a case, especially equipped with a glass panel which must be almost a third of the total weight, this certainly means a rather thin steel.
Storage level there are 3 x 3.5 ″ (possibility of installing 2.5 ″ disks) as well as 2 x 2.5 ″, which is logically quiet, unless you have mass storage in the tower.
The ventilation can be substantial, in fact there are 2 x 12 cm above, 1 x 12 cm as well as 3 x 12 or 2 x 14 cm at the front. Why did I say “may”? Because the brand simply provides only a single 12cm red LED fan placed at the front, which will very clearly have an impact on the overall ventilation, so it will logically be necessary to add a fan at the rear ( or put an AIO). Too bad to have only one original fan, we see here that the cost reduction is striking.
Offered at around 70 €, the Corsair SPEC 04 Tempered glass has classic characteristics for this type of case, to see in the tests!

Unpacking and bundle

The box could not be more sober, with a cardboard that will clearly not be emulated. On one side we find the beast in profile with a little marketing blah that I would spare you. At the rear an exploded view of the SPEC04 to get an idea of ​​the interior before going to the checkout.

On the side the main technical characteristics are present.

Inside we fall on the beast in its plastic bag caught between 2 thick foams, transport should not be a problem, unless you jump on it with both feet!

The bundle is quite basic but offers the essentials, the manual, the screws and 4 plastic cable ties, no more and no less!
