INTEL i5-12600K performs 50% better compared to AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

And benchmarks of Intel’s next Alder Lake CPUs keep popping up, now with the Core i5-12600K that outperforms AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X by 50% in multi-core performance.

The benchmark shows an Intel Core i5-12600K working on an unknown platform, probably a Z690 motherboard with DDR5 memory.

The Intel Core i5-12600K will be an unlocked CPU that promises to be the king of Gamer PCs with the 12th Gen lineup. The CPU has 6 Golden Cove and 4 Gracemont cores for a total of 10 cores (6 + 4) and 16 threads. (12 + 4). The P (Golden Cove) cores will operate at a maximum frequency of up to 4.9 GHz with 1-2 active cores and 4.5 GHz with all active cores, while the E (Gracemont) cores will operate at 3.6 GHz on 1-4 cores and up to 3.4 GHz when all cores are loaded.

The benchmark shows the Intel Core i5-12600K passing the single-core test with a score of 746.2 points and the multi-core test with 7058.1 points. This places the Core i5 Alder Lake with a whopping 50% advantage over the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and even faster than AMD’s 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 5800X, which is quite impressive.

The Intel Core i5-12600K outperforms the Core i9-11900K, with ease and shows that Intel is really going to give AMD a hard time in the mainstream segment if these numbers come true. We are only weeks away from launch and the Core i5-12600K will be a chip that many consumers, especially gamers, will be interested in.
