The BRO-5 satellite is already in orbit. This is the fifth Unseenlabs satellite for maritime surveillance

The pioneering French company Unseenlabs, which was founded only five years ago, deployed its first nanosatellite in August 2019. Since then, it has been able to provide its customers with geolocation data for ships at sea, which has been accelerated by EUR 27 million since April 2021. The recent launch of the fifth Unseenlabs BRO-5 satellite into orbit is part of this.

Thanks to the recent mission, the Unseenlabs constellation already has 5 satellites dedicated to maritime surveillance by radio signals from space. BRO-5 has become one of them

Last Thursday, January 13 at 15:25 UTC, the SpaceX launch rocket launched the BRO-5 (Breizh Reconnaissance Orbiter-5) into orbit at an altitude of 550 kilometers via the SpaceX Transporter-3 mission using the Falcon 9 rocket.

It is a direct confirmation of the permanence of the Unseenlabs constellation, which enables this European leader to further expand its services internationally and improve their quality. However, this is only the beginning of the road, because the entire Unseenlabs constellation is expected to have 20 to 25 satellites by 2025.
