The Czech Republic announced the desire of the EU countries to separate the prices for gas and electricity
PRAGUE, 7 Oct – PRIME. At the informal EU summit in Prague, many EU countries supported the idea of separating gas and electricity prices at the informal EU summit in Prague, which would mean lower prices for the population and firms in the EU, said Prime Minister of the Czech Republic presiding over the union Petr Fiala.
“An increasing number of EU member states support decoupling the price of gas from the price of electricity, which would mean a general price reduction for both households and firms. this was in line with EU rules. At the same time, we should not allow “competition” of individual national solutions to these problems. In all these cases, it is much more profitable and more efficient to achieve a pan-European solution,” Fiala said at the final press conference of the informal EU summit in Prague.
