The dzen.ru portal became available to users in test mode

MOSCOW, 6 Sep — PRIME. The dzen.ru portal has been launched in test mode, it presents the content of the authors of Zen, the Yandex search line, news and weather, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of VK.

At the end of August, it became known that VK and Yandex had signed binding documents on the deal. According to the terms, VK will become the owner of the Zen and Novosti content platforms and transfer to Yandex the Delivery Club service for the delivery of ready-made food and groceries, which VK is consolidating during the restructuring of O2O Holding, a joint venture between VK and Sberbank. The transaction is scheduled to close by the end of 2022. After the transaction is closed, VK will receive the rights to the technologies and trademarks of the Zen and News services, VK reported. A week later, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia, with instructions, allowed Yandex to acquire Delivery Club, and VK to acquire Novosti and Zen.

Yandex and VK are working on resolving technical issues before closing the deal. Now the dzen.ru portal is available in beta version and retains the user-familiar interface. It presents: content from the authors of “Zen”, the search line of “Yandex”, news and weather,” the message says.

It is clarified that the teams of companies are currently testing and working on the throughput of the portal, as well as automatic transition from the yandex.ru website. As noted in VK, the final version of the portal will be presented after the deal with Yandex is closed.

“We hope that the familiar interface will help users easily navigate Zen, and the platform’s authors will continue to create content and realize themselves in different formats,” the VK press service emphasized.

The message explains that the Zen team will keep the existing technology and monetization of bloggers. All subscriptions, likes and comments will also remain the same, added to VK.
