BRUSSELS, 10 Oct – PRIME. The European Commission (EC) intends to present a plan in the next two weeks, the purpose of which will be to reduce the price of gas in the European Union to a certain level so that this does not threaten the supply, said the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen at a press conference in Tallinn, which was broadcast on the website EC.
Exchange gas prices in Europe fell below $1,500 per thousand cubic meters
“We will come out in the next two weeks with proposals on how to tame energy prices and electricity prices. The goal will be to bring the price down to a certain level without jeopardizing the security of supply,” she said of discussions with the Estonian prime minister on Monday on the gas market and high prices.
