The first 18 minutes of the upcoming horror The Medium was recorded on video using the Xbox Series X

The gaming edition IGN has published a gameplay video for the adventure horror The Medium. In the video below, we are shown the first 18 minutes recorded from the Xbox Series X console in 4K format. There is a short introduction and a solution to a few simple hidden object problems.

Here you need to understand that we were shown very little direct gameplay, because all the main time in this video was taken by cut-scenes. The latter are quite well directed: the acting actors, the right angles, first-class voice acting, well-chosen lighting. But the animation of the main character’s lip movements could be better.

The Medium takes place in a mansion owned by the protagonist’s stepfather. You have not forgotten that the medium is exactly our girl named Marianne. She arrived at her adoptive father’s house immediately after her death, deciding to attend the funeral. And, since she is a medium, then she still has to communicate with the spirit of Jack (this is the name of her adoptive father). How it will all end – we will find out very soon.

The Medium is a project from the authors of the terrifying horror films Layers of Fear and Blair Witch. But past games were more of an indie horror (albeit well-staged). And the new project is already aiming for the “Major League”. The Medium will be released on PC and Xbox Series X | S on January 28th
