The Geforce GTX 770 is leaking online

Less than a week ago, Nvidia launched the first graphics card in the new Geforce GTX 700 series. Although the flagship Geforce GTX 780 does not contain a new graphics processor, it still provides a real boost of performance compared to its predecessor GTX 680. Soon, Nvidia will release another graphics card in the new model series.

Now the Japanese Hermitage Akihabara publishes the specifications for the Geforce GTX 770 and quite rightly it is about a familiar creation. The new graphics card is in many ways identical to the Geforce GTX 680. The main numbers are instead higher clock frequencies and competitive pricing.

The Geforce GTX 770 is based on the GK104 graphics processor with 1,536 CUDA cores and 2 or 4 GB of memory on a 256-bit memory bus. The clock frequencies are screwed up to 1,045 MHz GPU (1,085 MHz boost) and 7.0 GHz GDDR5. The corresponding values for the Geforce GTX 680 are 1,006 MHz GPU (1,058 MHz boost) and 6.0 GHz GDDR5.

At the same time, the TDP value is raised to 230 W, up from 195 W in the GTX 680. For this, Nvidia equips the reference model with what appears to be the same cooler used for the Geforce GTX 780 (and Titan). The power supply is also upgraded from 6 + 6 to 6 + 8-pin PCI Express connectors.

The same source states that the Geforce GTX 770 will cost about 40,000 yen. It can be translated into a Swedish price tag of a little over 3,500 kronor including VAT, ie roughly where the Geforce GTX 680 is currently housed.
