MOSCOW, August 31 – PRIME. Users of the website of the German publication Die Welt criticized the actions of the country’s authorities after the suspension of gas transportation from Russia via Nord Stream for three days due to scheduled maintenance.

“I always admire the patience of the Germans. They say there are countries where it takes much less to provoke mass protests,” wrote a newspaper reader.
“I really hope for a winter of rage, maybe something will happen if it’s not too late,” the user added.
“The German government that caused this crisis is angry. Joining the winter of rage,” wrote another user.
“While people are freezing in cold apartments all over Germany in the coming winter, the Bundestag building, including the huge plenary hall, which is very expensive to heat, and all the deputies’ offices, will be cozy and warm,” another reader agreed with them.
“Yesterday, a young driver stood in front of me at a gas station asking for 50 euros to pay for gasoline,” said one of the users.
“The reason for this is the sanctions against Russia, and the people do not want these sanctions!” — users of the portal agreed.
Earlier, the Russian exporter Gazprom announced the suspension for three days of pumping raw materials for export towards Germany via the Nord Stream. Pumping was completely stopped due to scheduled work at the gas pumping unit of the Portovaya compressor station. Buyers of Russian raw materials were informed about the stoppage in advance. Estimated work will last until 4:00 Moscow time on September 3.
