The government will soften the conditions for obtaining grants for projects in the field of agriculture

MOSCOW, 29 Aug – PRIME. The Government of the Russian Federation has adopted a resolution to soften the conditions for receiving grants for the implementation of scientific and technical projects in the agro-industrial complex, farmers will also be able to use the funds to pay for the installation of specialized equipment and devices, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Monday at a meeting of the presidium of the government commission to increase sustainability of the Russian economy under sanctions.

“Among the new decisions of the government is a decree on easing the conditions for obtaining grants for the implementation of scientific and technical projects, complex projects in the agro-industrial complex. Accordingly, we are amending the current version of the rules. It will be easier to attract resources for producers of feed and feed additives, as well as farmers, engaged in the development of seeds, competitive varieties of flax, cotton, growing fruits and berries,” Mishustin said.

He noted that grants can also be spent on the creation of new domestic varieties and plant protection products, on the purchase of equipment for nurseries engaged in the development of viticulture.

“From these funds it is also possible to pay for services for the installation of specialized equipment and special devices, including special laboratories,” the prime minister stressed.
