According to him, during the heating season, the temperature in the premises will be 17-18 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees below the norm. In this regard, Vitrenko advises citizens to stock up on warm clothes in anticipation of the onset of cold weather. The heating season itself will start later and end earlier, the head of the board of Naftogaz Ukrainy notes.
“Without financial support (from the West), we will lack gas, which will mean that we will face very high risks of failure of the energy system … (Without gas imports) there will be blackouts in large sections of Ukraine,” he added.
According to Vitrenko, Ukraine needs $10 billion to import gas. The allies understand that the country needs these funds, he stressed, but the head of the company is not sure that Kyiv will be able to get this money.
