MOSCOW, 30 Sep — PRIME. Nord Stream is losing as much gas as Germany consumes in three days due to leaks, Bloomberg reports, citing estimates from the Danish Energy Agency.
“The underwater pipelines… contained 778 million cubic meters of gas… Enough to meet the demand of Germany, Europe’s largest fuel consumer, for three days,” the publication reports.
According to the Danish energy agency, the leak volumes also correspond to the volumes that Norway produces in 2.5 days.
“No matter how you look at it, the volumes of natural gas released into the Baltic Sea from the Russian Nord Stream pipelines are huge,” the publication summed up.
